____ Fullerton. _____ Wedding. Weddings, used to be one of my favourite functions or rather events to attend when I was a primary school kid. Well certainly not every wedding is my favourite, I really dislike those that come with the very long speeches given by an old pastor or sometimes a beautiful but monotoned lady.
It has been almost a decade since I last went for a wedding and this time round, I'm going for my neighbour's one. My very immediate neighbour Jason. His wedding was held at Fullerton's ballroom, a very formal and grand wedding I must say. Most people say that wedding invitations costs a bomb, however this wedding invitation costs a specific type of bomb, a nuclear bomb. Parking costs $2.50 per half an hour, that's five freaking bucks per hour, good thing we get a free pass for being guests of the wedding.
Can't remember the last time I wore a tie, good thing I still know how to tie one. Finally after so long, I got to suit up once again, and it definitely felt good. Getting the tie from my closet brought back lots of memories of secondary school, the many Tuesdays that I forgot to bring a tie for chapel.
Stepping into the grand ballroom, I could only notice old people, the only young ones were my neighbours whom were all quiet girls, which left me no other choice but to talk to their dads. The plates served on the tables were exquisitely designed and so were the decorations throughout the room. It was as if the wedding was made for perfection. Then, as usual like any other wedding, they started showing videos and photos of the wedding process before serving the food. Oh, the food, I must say I was quite disappointed with them, it was simply average! Well, who cares, the atmosphere was awesome...
Then I start to wonder, the guy had to go through so much trouble just to get the lady that he loves out of her apartment, he had to trouble so many people to help him get this wedding done into such perfection, spend so much money to make it happen and invite almost 50 tables of guests to just simply...
witness him marrying his wife.
Would I cir cum to such trouble if I were to really get married?
