25 hours 20 minutes
20/06/08
0850 hours – Slammed my alarm, laid in my bed thinking about the catwalk, wondering what else I could further improve it or make it more entertaining. I thought about the songs, then the song “Stripper” by the Soho dolls seemed to play constantly in my head. As it states, stripper, which is certainly very entertaining, I focused my mind on it and poof! An idea came up! Why not get them to strip a little, just a little… Straight away I informed the models in bringing belts, scarf or cardigan.

1100 hours – Started watching Grey’s Anatomy 201

1145 hours – Discussed cable television plans with grandfather

1230 hours – Packed my bag and printed the fashion show’s sequence

1300 hours – Watched Grey’s Anatomy 202 while having my lunch, almost puked while they did their surgery.

1345 hours – Qing Wen called asking for my help in doing the crew’s tags which I end up spending 15 minutes fumbling about wondering how to print name card sized tags. In the end I gave up and changed hurriedly then sped my way to the bus stop to catch bus 10.

1450 hours – Meeting point for the model’s rehearsal was at the taxi stand of the esplanade before approaching to the roof top terrace. Apparently I, have a very bad street directed head, I thought alighting at Fullerton would be my way to the esplanade. I walked down the double deckered bus to ask the driver if the bus would be passing by that stop and he said nodded, I felt rather pleased with myself until I turned back and saw Sandra, one of the models. I asked her if that was the stop and she said no, it’s the next stop. I thought, alright its fine, I got the stop wrong, good thing she was there if not I’d be walking a few more kilometers. As we got off the bus, I thought ‘ok I’m sure I can lead the way from here…’ till I had no idea where I was. Once again, Mr. Choreographer had to be led by a model to the meeting point, how embarrassing.

1500 hours – Reached the taxi stand then started waiting for the other models to show up.

1600 hours – 6 models were there, 1 would be arriving a little later and another would be meeting only at 6pm. We went up to the roof top terrace first and set up the equipments. There were 3 camera men (one of which is Isaiah), 7 models and 3 crew members. Once everything was settled, the training began.

1710 hours – Packed up and went to Marina Square for dinner.

1750 hours – Met up and headed for Boat Quay, Poparazzy. 4 girls took a cab there while the rest, walked all the way there, was quite a scenic view.

1815 hours – Reached the location where the ladies started putting on their make up while I tried learning the equipments in the DJ’s ‘room’.

1920 hours – Did a full dress rehearsal with actual on site lightings.

1950 hours – DJ came in and taught me most of the keys. We did another rehearsal including the MC.

2030 hours – Crowd starts to come in, tension starts to rise but not for long. Soon tension becomes stress, then fear.

2100 hours – The time for the actual fashion show. I didn’t give the green light to go as there were only forty over audience in the club, far too little. The crowd consists of mostly friends from our school, what I feared most was loosing money, not the amount of people watching what I had choreographed. Friends started to get restless; there was nothing much going on except people playing pool.

2145 hours – Time and patience was running out. I had no choice but to start the show, I called in the crowd into the dance hall and got the models prepped up.

2150 hours – The show commences. Though I wasn’t the one walking down the runway, my heart was pumping really fast, simply hoping all would go well. Then it comes to the stripper song, first girl went out, Angelia, she unbuckles her belt and sways it to the side, the crowd roared and wooed with horniness. As naughty as it seems, that was the exact response I was hoping for.

2205 hours - The show comes to an end, quite a relief but the audience wasn’t enough. So I asked the models if they still could do another run at 10.30pm, they considered and said they were too tired. 3pm till 10pm with more than 4 rehearsals, I understood them and called it off.

2300 hours – As soon as the show ended, I took a coke + rum + I have no idea what else that lady added and drank it down like water; well I was really thirsty then. After that, I found myself reliving my secondary 2 days with Junyi and Glenys in the indoor stadium, dancing like there was no tomorrow. The feeling was incredible and rather addictive as well. Sadly my male classmates were too shy to join me so I started off with Hasbunnur, Qing Wen, Yani, Angelia, Sandra, Jasmine, camera men, many other people and Safuan who danced with Yani for awhile but was a little too shy to dance later.

21/06/08
0030 hours – Crowd started to pour in and money was growing constantly, soon my worries were set aside.

0150 hours – Went back into the dance arena for another sweat out session and found the only girl from my class that went, Vilasini, dancing together with Yani and Yvonne. The room was so hyped up and filled with people that it seemed the place wasn’t air conditioned. Spotted another 2 models, Lixue and Alice. I thought only 3 of them stayed for the party but in fact only 2 left for home, Janice and Sheryl.

0230 hours – Ladies started leaving but another crowd was coming in. The new crowd at this hour had really good dancing skills; their movements were so coordinated with the trance song. Simply watching them dance was good enough.

0300 hours – Got the news that we had made a break which means that we didn’t loose a single cent, or rather we made a profit.

0300 hours – Left the location with Yvonne’s group and ‘hiked’ all the way to Cineleisure to catch a 4.15am movie, “Don’t Mess With The Zohan”.

0600 hours – Movie ended, took a train home and surprisingly it was almost full.

0700 hours – Reached the front gate of my home sweet home.

0820 hours – Finished bathing, got my breakfast and started watching Grey’s Anatomy.

1010 hours – Woke up to find that the show ended, not even knowing what happened to Alice Grey… With my eyes so worn out, I climbed up into bed and slept…
